Norway calls on Saudi Arabia to stop women's rights violations

Norway called on Saudi Arabia and other countries to increase efforts to stop violations of women's human rights.

Speaking during the discussion of Item 4 of the Council's 51st session on 26 September 2022, the Norweigan delegate, Ms Tine Mørch Smith said that all individuals have the right to decide. She warned that women's rights in the world are deteriorating in more than one place in the world.

Norway stressed that all countries should cooperate fully with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
